Inside the Design Process

Inside the Design Process

At LA Vi, every collection begins with a simple question: Will this piece still feel relevant years from now? Our approach to production is guided by that mindset. Rather than producing large quantities in anticipation of demand, we create limited or exclusive runs and avoid holding excess inventory whenever possible. This allows us to produce more intentionally while reducing unnecessary waste.

Designing fewer pieces also means spending more time on what matters. We focus on balanced proportions, considered materials, and versatile silhouettes that can be styled in different ways and worn across seasons. We believe clothing should become part of your life and not something to be replaced with every new trend.

Beyond the design itself, we carefully choose the partners we work with, prioritizing manufacturers that share our commitment to more responsible production practices, including water treatment, waste reduction, and more conscious use of resources.

Whenever possible, we incorporate materials such as certified sustainable fabrics, deadstock textiles, and upcycled vintage materials, giving existing resources a longer life and adding unique character to each collection.

For us, conscious design starts with creating less and making more considered choices, from the materials we select to the partners we work with throughout the process.
